Adopt, Don’t Shop

If given the chance, I’d always take the opportunity to rescue a pet instead of purchasing one. Of course all are worthy of loving homes, but some animals experience severe human-imposed cruelty, never feeling the embrace of a loving belly rub or enjoying a peaceful place to sleep. These animals’ chances of survival are not as great.
